Alter Ego is part of Proper House Group, a Tampa-based hospitality group also behind Rooster & the Till (Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient, and named the Tampa Bay Times’ No. 1 restaurant in 2018 and 2019), Ash, Gallito Taqueria, and Dang Dude.
Early in the night, Alter Ego is a moody lounge — low light, quiet conversation, and craft cocktails. Once our DJs start at 9pm, the energy turns up and the room shifts into its late-night self.
The 411
- Walk-ins are standing room only, first come, first served — book a table (opens in a new tab) to guarantee a seat and skip the line.
- Once seated, your table is yours for 1.5 hours — 2 hours for a party of 6 or more.
- We’ll hold your table for 15 minutes — let us know if you’re running late to keep your spot.
- Cancel at least 12 hours ahead to avoid a $25-per-guest cancellation fee.
- $10 cover and no re-entry after 9pm, Thursday through Saturday.
- 21+ only.
- We’re a cashless bar — come ready to tap or swipe.
